Cokethorpe is an independent HMC, IAPS and SHMIS day school for 660 girls and boys aged between 4 and 18. Founded in 1957, pupils come from a wide area, mainly using the extensive network of School buses. Teaching takes place in a range of modern buildings around the elegant Queen Anne Mansion House. The School is set in a parkland estate of nearly 150 acres, 2 miles south of Witney and 10 miles from Oxford.

At the start of 2009 Signs Now were invited to consult on the supply of complete new signage for a large independent school near Oxford called Cokethorpe.

This involved an extensive survey with the customer discussing each sign and location to determine the best solution for each.  In this situation, seeing the site from a fresh perspective is a good way of being able to suggest ideas and potential questions and issues that may not have been noticed or thought about by people who actually work on the site.

After we had surveyed and agreed possible solutions, the school provided us with their logo and colours so we could then produce full artwork proposals superimposed onto photos to accompany the quotation.  The time and attention spent on detail during the survey, drawings and quote enabled the school to see exactly what was being proposed so they could make informed decisions on the ways forward.

As with all projects, all signs were then produced and fitted by qualified in house installers.

All signs have been favorably received and as Katherine Rutland of the marketing department for the school says ““I was really pleased with the overall service from Signs Now. They ensured they met all our needs and where able to accommodate our tight schedule and deliver within the time span. I enjoyed working with the team and am delighted with the results – the school now has a consistent brand image across the site with professional and high-quality signage.”
